The brief
One platform. Two audiences. Twenty-five markets. No room for slow.
This client runs the software backbone that powers smart infrastructure operator networks across four continents. Their platform serves two distinct audiences simultaneously: end users who need a clean, reliable consumer app; and field professionals who need operational control, data visibility, and tools to manage complex networks at scale.
Each deployment is a white-label — operators launch the platform under their own brand, in their own language, with their own payment provider, across markets spanning Northern Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. The platform had to work everywhere, for everyone, and live in multiple app stores under different names.
To build and maintain this at speed, they needed more than a development team. They needed a mobile partner who could take full ownership — project management, estimation, sprint delivery, and quality — while simultaneously providing embedded engineers for their web infrastructure team.
What TBox did
Full mobile ownership and embedded web augmentation — running in parallel
TBox operated across two distinct workstreams throughout this engagement, each with a different model and a different set of responsibilities.
Workstream 1 — Full project delivery
Mobile: iOS & Android
- Built both native iOS and Android apps end-to-end — consumer-facing and professional operator apps
- Architected a robust, reliable app infrastructure built to perform consistently across varying network conditions and device environments
- Implemented smart booking system including session scheduling, time slot management, and real-time availability
- Built home environment features: live pricing data, consumption tracking, automated scheduling, and cost optimization
- Integrated multiple payment gateways across regions — Stripe, Adyen, local market providers — with pre-auth, wallet, subscription, and dynamic pricing models
- Built in-app maps, routing, and location-based discovery for finding and navigating to operator sites
- Engineered white-label framework allowing the apps to be rebranded, reconfigured, and published under any operator's name with minimal turnaround
- Implemented push notification infrastructure for session alerts, booking confirmations, and operator communications
- Delivered ongoing maintenance, feature enhancements, and platform updates against strict sprint timelines
- Managed internal team structure, sprint scoping, estimation, and delivery accountability for the entire mobile programme
Workstream 2 — Staff augmentation
Web: Backend & Admin
- Embedded TBox engineers directly into the client's web development team
- Backend API development supporting core platform operations and mobile data sync
- Admin panel build-out: complex filtering, advanced search, data tables, and operator management tools
- Database architecture enhancements to support scale and new feature requirements
- Booking system APIs powering reservation logic across the platform
- Mailing template infrastructure for transactional and operational communications
- Complex UI handling for the operator-facing web dashboard
The defining moment
Running a fully-owned mobile delivery programme and a staff augmentation engagement concurrently — across different codebases, different team structures, and different delivery rhythms — is exactly the kind of complexity that exposes weak partners. TBox managed both workstreams without friction: mobile sprints shipped to deadline, embedded engineers integrated seamlessly into the web team, and white-label deployments rolled out into new markets on a cadence the client could rely on. Eight white-label apps. Four continents. No missed commitments.
What this demonstrates
The range to lead where needed, embed where useful
Most technical partners operate in one mode: either they run projects or they augment teams. Very few can do both well, simultaneously, on the same engagement. This is where TBox is genuinely differentiated — the ability to shift posture based on what the client actually needs, without that flexibility becoming a liability in either lane.
On mobile, TBox functioned as a product engineering team with full accountability: we set timelines, held them, and owned the quality. On web, TBox engineers plugged into an existing team and contributed without friction — no ramp-up overhead, no coordination drag, no dependency on the client to manage our work.
The result is a white-label platform now live in 25+ countries, serving consumer and professional users in multiple languages, with regional payment providers, across markets that require completely different configurations. The infrastructure holds. The delivery cadence holds. The partnership continues.
